Filling up the space

One of the hazards of having booth spaces and a shop , is that when you commit to hit the road and do a show , you tend to half to hoard up some stuff so you'll have awesome things to sell there too.
I recently expanded my booth space in the Sleepy Poet in March.
Since I was in "FULL ON HOARD" mode for Lucketts, the booth space
never really got all the goods it should.
Wellllll, let me just say that
THE SPACE IS PACKED LIKE CRAZY NOW!

I've kinda been like a crazed junk lady filling it up.
Workin on projects....
Actually getting them done...loaded...priced and displayed....
(sometimes all in the same day!!)
Who cares if I have paint in my hair while I'm trying to restock!
Lord knows there's probably more on my arms that I missed when I tried to wash it all off!

It feels great to get caught up on filling up the space.

All of these photos were taken last week and a bunch of the stuff you see here is gone already...

But TRUST ME.....there's more where that came from!!!!
My husband still continues to dream of the day when we can actually park the car
in the garage.
He even brings it up once in awhile like there is a glimmer of hope or something.
Silly Husband....Garage is for JUNK!

One of my favorite pieces is the tall , long aqua table that we covered with antique chippy ceiling tin!
It's a great height for a work table or buffet.
I'll be sad to see this one go. If I only had a bigger house.
HEY...here's a thought...a bigger house means a bigger garage .....sooooo
if we had a three car garage~ TWO could be for junk and ONE for the car!
I'll have to use that one next time!

Old industrial work bench,,,just waiting patiently for someone to take it home and use is as an island!
(Yep...it's even on wheels.)
I made the wire cloche (and didn't cut myself once!) It comes with the old architectural column base too!

This french script bookcase is kind of in limbo. I want to keep it~ I really do have a place it could go, but that would mean getting rid of the piece I have there now.....which I love too.
Decisions Decisions. I figured if someone bought it then that would make up my mind for me!
I have since added more pieces and am loving the additional space!
I will be taking a ROAD TRIP to OHIO this weekend and hope to find some PRIMO JUNK to bring home to help fill
in all my spaces!
See ya when I get back!
P.S. YES.....THE SHOP IS STILL OPEN WHILE I'M GONE! Stop by to see Kim or Mr.OTM!

And so the booth got BIGGER and some HAPPY NEWS!

Hello Friends!

My March {Make-over} Madness continues!

This time it it involved my

ENTIRE BOOTH

When the space next to me became available, I was excited to gain some elbow room.

I always have a slew of stuff just waiting in the wings~

(namely the garage...Mr.OTM just loves that by the way)

and I loved being able to get it out and get in the booth.

Not that the garage is empty now.

Ohhhhh nooooo...that just created extra space.

For. More. Stuff.

{evil laugh}

Soooo, do you wanna take a peek?

Let's go!

{old gears from Charlotte NC}

{industrial bins have sold already but there's more on the way}

{love the laundry cart}

{wire cloches were a fun project and I really like them

paired up with the old architectural bases}

{the CHIPPY iron bed}

{our window green houses are back!}

{pick me!}

{the old grain sack pillow is HUGE and smooshy}

{old pink Victrola cabinet that's already been converted to just a

neat old cupboard}

There is SO much more to see. This is a big mall with loads of booths.

Worth the trip for sure!

There are a few exciting things coming up this week!

First off tomorrow, April 1st is the launch of the

PARISENNE FARMGIRL MAGAZINE!

To order your digital copy just click on the link at the top right of my blog.

It looks to be CHOCK FULL of inspiration!

I cannot wait to see it.

AND......here is where it gets REALLY EXCITING!

Sometime during Monday , at some point

I will become a Gramma.

I am beyond excited .

I hope I will be the kind of Gramma to little Conner Robert

that mine was to me.

She was sooooo good at it and I wish she was here to see me become one.

She would be so tickled.

This past few months sure has been a ride. Not only have I become a wife, step-mother, mother in law, sister in law, an aunt and now a Gramma too all at the age of 44.

Truly a year filled with blessings.
I love counting each and every one.
Be prepared for the onslaught of photos!

That's what Grammas do right?
{wink!}

Junk Finds on a Friday!

Some days, things just come together.

Unexpected Fun!

That's what happened this past Friday. I got an unexpected day to spend with my Mr. OTM and we hit the junk trail!

It worked out great. I had sold a large cupboard that needed to be delivered

so once that was done.

We got to pickin!

Here's what we found......
the vintage glass front cabinet was a great and needed find...

french metal floral buckets.....

the color of this little old bench is perfect vintage aqua....

for some reason I am always drawn to canvas military bags...

the primitive bucket bench has the BEST old cracklie finish...

old mellow yellow side table...

these are some of the oldest (and cutest) embroidery hoops I have ever seen...

little old clothespins...full of character

the old stapler still works!

that big ole coil of wire fencing needs an awesome project...

unearthed some ironstone!!

And we'll end the show with a tour of the Eifel tower!

Sound good?
A good amount of these items made their way into my booth at the Sleepy Poet yesterday.

We did a huge make-over in that space as well.

Last one there is a rotten egg!

He fought me..BUT I WON!

So here is how my day starts yesterday.....
I woke up from this dream:
I am at my shop working by the cash resister when all of these Egyptian people start to come in my back door......LOTS of them.....they just kept coming in. Then they were all wanting to order sweet tea and then they all asked if they could live there.
The End.
Okaaaayyyyy.....so I don't know what I ate before I went to bed but I do remember watching the news and seeing Egypt's troubles. That explains that.
What it doesn't explain is Mr. OTM's attitude toward my chest....um I mean TWO DRAWER CHEST. See below.
Just two days ago this little beauty had no top (good grief this post could go either way...sorry!)
It had everything else....a FAB gray paint, chippy none the less, all her knobs, nice and sturdy, dovetail drawers, cute little legs...so on.
Plus her price was right...WAYYYY RIGHT.....so I brought her home cuz I had an idea.
We had a stack of wood in the garage that came from an old farmhouse kitchen.
Nice chippy white wood.
I thought it would look awesome as a top.Mr. OTM...not so much!

He actually said it was "too chippy"!
Them's is fightin words!
I know...I know....and here I thought I had made such progress with the boy.
After what seemed like an eternity of pleading my case.....
HE CAVED!!!
And I am so beyond thrilled with how it turned out!
Please tell me what you think.
I promise to share the good and the bad with
Mr. OTM.
(I have a feeling you're gonna like it though * wink*)

It made it's way in the Sleepy Poet where she sits front and center....
with her top on!

This last little pic is a tiny teaser of the Depot booth that I spent all day putting together.
It's all done and yep...pictures are comin your way in the next few days.
I am linking this post to the FABULOUS Kathleen over at Faded Charm White Wednesday!
Get yourself on over there and be prepared to drool!

Junk in my Booth!

Nothing can wipe out a booth display faster than selling a table....
Let alone selling TWO tables!
January must be TABLE MONTH here in North Carolina.
I like when big stuff sells cuz it forces you to re-do your booth!
That's just what I did yesterday in my booth at
* You get to rearrange*
*Bring in New Stuff*

*Add different focal points*

*Re-position current stuff*

*Show off new handmade items*

*Set up great vignettes*

*New stuff front and center*

*Chat with customers while you're there*

*Enjoy*
