Birthday junk finds!

Today started off with having to call the cops. On my birthday non the less!! HAHA! Are you curious yet?
Well, we decided to go to Mc Donalds to grab breakfast (mostly because I wanted a Pumpkin Spice Latte Mocha Cappuchino fancy schmancy big girl coffee drink because I really don't like coffee but when it's filled with mostly cream then I'm good!) Soooooo, as we proceed to get back into the truck.....BAM! Reality hits us in the face with the fact that the keys are locked inside the truck. So Mr. OTM had to call the cops to get us back in business. I sat on the tailgate and sipped my uber fancy kind of coffee feeling very trendy and answering "yes" to everyone who asked" lock your keys in the truck?"  It didn't bother me one bit because it was , after all , my birthday and we were going junk hunting as soon as this little mess was taken care of.
Once we were on the road again, I realized that I wished I would have just downed this coffee thing because it was a nuisance trying to keep it from spilling onto my new hoodie (birthday present from hubs!) Anyway, I managed to only get one teeny tiny spot on the front of me. I consider that a success!!!
Once we got to the flea market I was ready to hunt for some bargains and I am soooo happy to say I FOUND SOME!!
Take a look at these! I was thrilled to find this old wood ice cream bucket , an adorable chippy white clock and some dried hydrangeas!

Take a quick guess what I paid for all of these treasures.
Go ahead , I'll wait......................

The JUNK we found last weekend!!

This past weekend ~ the junk finds

Good thing too~ because we have a bunch of stuff coming up!

Between shows, the shop, the booth spaces and the holidays,
we are gonna need the stuff!!

I have no doubt.....You can handle it!!!

Here are a few of my FAVORITE pieces that we found while on our recent junkin trips!

Every time we come back from pickin...Mr. OTM always asks me...."So what is your favorite piece you found??"

Usually I have an easy answer......

but on this trip , it was hard.......



But I think I narrowed it down to this.......

a perfectly chippy old cast iron bell! For what ever reason, I LOVE this thing!

This wicker rocker is A-Dorable.....

and I got a kick out of the description written on the price tag of the picket fence plant stand ...it read "Mission style farn stand" yep....farn...yep mission style....lol!

all chippy and rusty in just the right places.....

the crown hanging baskets aren't old but they are zinc and zinc=old lookin so I had to have um.

This old cabinet is KEWL. When you see it up close you can tell it was pieced together using a bunch of different materials.

AND NOW FOR THE MYSTERY PIECE REVEAL.......

Duh duh duh daaaaaaaaaaaa...............

For those that guessed a MIRROR......you know your stuff!

One thing I don't do.....

Hello friends!

I was recently on a mission......

For a good pair......(no scratch that) a GREAT PAIR of shoes.

I headed out Friday night...to the MALL (which is a huge deal cuz unless the word ANTIQUE is in front of MALL...I usually stay away.)

Now, one thing that I don't normally do is spend alot of money on myself.

This had to be an exception. I am on my feet ALOT and with the holidays coming and the shop needing decorating and my current pair of shoes are in the process of loosing the left heel~ I knew I needed to make an investment.

And so I did......

in THESE!I was introduced to Alegria Shoes and I am never looking back.

Oh~My~Gosh~Golly.

Do you have a pair of these?

Am I like that only person to not own these yet?

THEY ARE AWESOME (and I am not being paid a single solitary cent for going on and on about um either. However, I am available to discuss opportunities....LOL!)

They are worth every penny (110.00 worth of pennies) but I am thrilled that I bit the bullet and bought them. My legs, back, feet, earlobes, eyebrows, fingers, etc...all felt GREAT at the end of a "very busy on my feet all day" kind of day yesterday.

This is a great example of "getting what you pay for."

Don't get me wrong~ cheap shoes that look cute will still find a way into my life

BUT.......

I am officially an Alegria girl from here on out!!

Junk Finds on a Friday!

Some days, things just come together.

Unexpected Fun!

That's what happened this past Friday. I got an unexpected day to spend with my Mr. OTM and we hit the junk trail!

It worked out great. I had sold a large cupboard that needed to be delivered

so once that was done.

We got to pickin!

Here's what we found......
the vintage glass front cabinet was a great and needed find...

french metal floral buckets.....


the color of this little old bench is perfect vintage aqua....






for some reason I am always drawn to canvas military bags...

the primitive bucket bench has the BEST old cracklie finish...

old mellow yellow side table...

these are some of the oldest (and cutest) embroidery hoops I have ever seen...

little old clothespins...full of character

the old stapler still works!

that big ole coil of wire fencing needs an awesome project...

unearthed some ironstone!!

And we'll end the show with a tour of the Eifel tower!

We did a huge make-over in that space as well.
