No Joke!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!!!

There she was just hangin out in a dumpster!!

I was soooooo excited to get her out!

The rescue went off without a hitch (for once...haha!!)

and she is thrilled with her new digs!!!

I let her bask in the sun for her photo shoot!

We were friends right from the start!

Plus we've got sooooo much in common:

She's spongey......like me

Her dress has stains.....like all of my clothes

and the list goes on!

She stands proudly on a rusty metal base!!

UNEXPECTED FINDS!

Today was just a great day! I got to go over to one of my clients homes today and start the fun aspect of decorating......the accessories!!!

We had a great time! That is one part of my job that I just LOVE doing. We have waited for this day for awhile. We needed to get all the furniture selected and ordered and patiently wait for it to come in so we could get started on the accessorizing. I will be taking pictures ~ trust me I am too excited about how it is turning out to not share it with you!

On the way home I decided to take a little detour and do some snooping around in a few of our downtown shops. I was SOOO EXCITED at what I found!

Here's a hint...they're FAKE and HUGE and I got a PAIR!

It's these pumpkins!

I am talking about two feet across each and about 12 inches tall! I LOVE UM!

The color is AWESOME! And they were CHEAP! My favorite 5 letter word!!

These will be for sale at the SoCo show THIS WEEKEND!!

I love days like this...I get to go to work doing what I love and then on my way home I get a surprise TREAT! The perfect ending to a perfect day!

Country Roads...Take Me Home

Whew!.......1364 miles later~ I am home! What a time I had! I am completely pooped and worn out which is exactly how I should feel after a week back in my old stomping grounds.

I had THE BEST TIME. I got to see family. I got to see dear friends. I got to go through some of the BEST JUNK scattered across Ohio~ ALOT of which ended up in the back of the truck!Every single vacant space in this truck was loaded up.....
I hit every Antique Mall, yard sale, garage sale, auction and even want ads in the classifieds (thanks to Linda who owns the B&B I stay at...she was reading them and saw a few items listed that she thought I might want!! She was right!)

My dear friend Karen came over to help me do the final load up. She has been though alot of loading, packing, lifting, unloading, hauling and more with me so by this point I trust her opinion! She helps put things into perspective and when I heard her say " I think you can fit it ALL" I was so excited to not have to leave a bunch of it for my others to bring down to me. I want all my junk around me after I buy it! I didn't want to have to choose what to leave behind...the agony! LOL! SO we did fit it ALL! .

Here it is....my junk all around me......literally!

Just a spot for me is all I need and I am a happy camper. I admit though, that I am ALWAYS so happy to get out of the truck when I get home and UNLOAD it all. So as I unload and organize a I promise to take pics to let you see all goodness that is heaping in the back of my truck!

FINDERS KEEPERS!

It goes a little something like this............ Mr.OTM (for those of you who don't know what that means....it's for Mr. Olde Tyme Marketplace) came home Friday night and said "hop in the truck and let's go for a ride!"...well okie dokie....let's see where is he gonna take me.....to a romantic dinner with wine and candlelight?????....perhaps to a jewerly store and just let me go crazy......how about to a picnic by the lake and gaze into each others eyes............to the beach so we can count the stars at night??????...........OR TO THE NEXT ROAD OVER SO WE CAN HUNT FOR ROCKS FOR THE FLOWER BED!! yippee!! So we start this rock hunt come up empty on our first road.We thought that would be a great spot because they are doing alot of building over there. On to the next road......ONE MINUTE in and I yell STOP!!!!!!!!! Laying in the ditch is this FANTASTIC PICKET GATE WITH IRON HARDWARE!!!! Now here is the REALLY COOL PART.......just that VERY morning I was telling Russ that I would like to go to Lowes that weekend and get a piece if fencing or something to help hide the garbage can and the propane tank. They both sit right at the back door and are U.....G.....G.....G.....L.....Y! So fast forward to that VERY EVENING and I find this gate.....FOR FREE!!!! Oh....I almost forgot..there was also a killer rock sitting right next to it so we grabbed that too. That was our only rock find for the whole night BUT I was totally jazzed up about that gate! Life is just full of surprises! Now I know that God has ALOT more important things to do than to worry about how to cover up my hideous propane tank and garbage can BUT this just goes to show you it must have been pretty bad because he answered my prayers. Now, I didn't actually pray about help to cover all that stuff up but the shop is always in my prayers and in this case he figured that needed done ASAP!! (By the way....Mr. OTM created a BIG ole PRIM Star to hang on it!!...promise I will take a pic!) Here's to answered prayers!!
