Just wanted to remind you that our

HERB CONTAINER CLASS IS THIS SATURDAY APRIL 30th at 11:00!

There is still time to sign up!
Class fee is 20.00 per person.

Fee includes:

*container

*potting soil

*three herbs

*herb marker

*folder filled with tips, how-to's , ideas, education

*demonstrations

and

*LUNCH!!!

We will be having Fresh Herb Chicken Salad, Basil Tomato Salad, Chive Biscuits, Ice Tea with Lemon Balm and Lavender and Lemon Cookies!

What a weekend!!

Went to Baltimore to visit family and left feeling so blessed!

Found some AWESOME JUNK while up that way too!

I snagged a table that could possibly turn into this potting bench!!

(I received this photo from a friend ages ago and have never let it go!!)
I will fill you in on all the details in a few days.

In the mean time I need to catch up on sleep and laundry....Plus unload the car and snap some good ole junk pics for you!

Chippy Rusty Countryside Finds!

There was only one priority today...

Visit the accountant and pick up the taxes.......ick!

On the WAY to pick up the aforementioned taxes, guess what we found?

An antique show in the country!

Fortuitous?

You betcha!!That geranium is ONE PLANT in a four inch pot!

I bought THREE! Think I might make up some wreaths with these old garden tools....

One of my favorite finds that I snagged this weekend was this simply adorable April Cornell tote bag.........yard sale.........2 bucks!

Chippy white painted boxes always seem to stick their handles out so I'll trip over them.

It works every.single.time.

Love making lights out of these old lanterns...

Remember this white metal bucket as you scroll down....

On second thought I think I might just keep all the garden tools and put um in an old woven gathering basket out on the porch.....

Can this metal basket be any cuter?

OLDE TYME MARKETPLACE IN THE MOVIES?!

With our first Sunday at the Marketplace of the season behind us (what a GREAT DAY!) it gives me a chance to get caught up on some other news!

There has been some pretty neat-o stuff going on here lately!

I was at my booth at The Depot a couple weeks ago and there were two people browsing in my booth who had just arrived from LA and were scouting out props for a movie!

Well they hit the mother load when they came to NC! They grabbed some great pieces out of my booth at The Sleepy Poet and The Depot! How cool is that? Pieces of Olde Tyme Marketplace.....in a movie! Does that make me an agent? LOL! (have your people call my people and we'll do lunch)

They have been finding all kinds of great finds from many of my dealer friends as well.

Our junk is gonna be famous!

ANOTHER neat-o thing was a lady who popped into the shop recently.

She bought all kinds of stuff. Made a huge pile. Mr. OTM asked her what she was going to do with all of it and come to find out, she was making a TV commercial!

Today was BEEE -U - TI-FUL outside and the perfect weather to catch up on some LOOOOOOOOOG over due photos of all the JUNK Mr.OTM and I scored on our

recent covert junk mission!

Get settled, go grab some coffee, tea, diet what-ever and get comfy cuz there are ALOT of pics!

Grab some kleenex while you're at it or maybe a paper towel even cuz I am warnin ya.....

these are DROOL WORTHY (not so much the photos...the JUNK...*wink*!)

Are you ready? Let's get started! I was desperate for some BIG pieces....I was totally on the hunt for cupboards and cabinets! This one is terrific! Nice and heavy and CHIPPY! The mirror is a heavy ole sucker too! The little wagon wheels were just so cute. Mr.OTM doesn't know why I bought them. I don't know why I bought them but I LOVE UM! This OLD CHIPPY wrought iron gate is beyond wonderful! LOOK at the colors! This one was a given because of the three little drawers....

what is it about drawers???

A stack of yumminess! I scored 5 of these old creamy chippy file drawers. Nice thing is...they aren't heavy!

I had to cough up 25 pennies for this adorable salt and pepper set.

Another outstanding cupboard! Do you need to go get another kleenex? One piece of glass is missing but we'll get her a new one. Old rusty iron garden table and little chippy cream metal garden table are perfect sizes for the booths.

Old tool box, what not shelf, milk can and washboard.....chippy heaven!

SUPER cupboard number three! THANK GOODNESS we found some big pieces! Now... have you noticed the adorable little old white garden cart yet? I FREAKED OUT when I saw this! One of those deals where you see it.....you want it....no matter what it costs kinda thing???? Have ya been there?? Well thank goodness this only cost an arm and not a leg too.

The old wire basket is filled with rag balls used to make braided rugs. The whole bag cost .50 cents.

Now here is one of my absolute favorite pieces! I'll admit...the colors are COLORFUL and you all know me.....BUT...all we saw when we bought it was coral and white. When Mr.OTM started sanding it , all these other colors started peeking through and WOW!

I fell in love with it!

What a PERFECT piece for a kitchen island OR potting bench!!

This little blue chest was already painted this shabby color! YIPPEE! All I need to do is add some knobs.

I already had one of these cupboards last year and loved it. I was super lucky to find another one!

I did cart wheels when I found this old drop leaf! Thank goodness I found a table. Tables were the HOT item these last two months!

WELCOME TO MY FAVORITE PIECE!

This bench stopped me in my tracks. Someone handpainted all this!! The chippy bench is all original and the art work is beautiful.

WHEW! Well there ya go. Believe it or not this is just the beginning of what we brought home. I still have to unpack alot of the smalls! Ironstone, metal hooks, etc......! I'll be taking pics of those too , do don't worry!! LOL!!

THE BEST PART????? MOST OF THESE ITEMS WILL BE HEADING INTO THE SHOP FOR
