I Fell in Love at Goodwill.....

With this!Hello Friends!

Today was filled with a dentist appt.~ hair appt. and some booth foofing,

but I still managed to get in a thrift store while I had 15 minutes to kill.
And this is what I found.

Isn't she adorable? And I had the car...not the truck. This was one of those "I don't care if I rip the leather seats in the car kinda deal !" ~ This was goin home with me!

THANKFULLY I didn't have to resort to anything drastic in the parking lot while I was trying to load it up. I didn't attract an audience or anything. { Don't laugh...it's happened.}

Anyway, it's hard to tell from the picture but she sits low and has a low back. Not as tall as a regular wing back is. She's short....like me {with cuter legs!}
Her fabric has a rustic nubby texture.
AND...
It's in great shape....no saggy seat
NO stinky smells....
Not a thing to be done!

She is going to be going to Nashville for the Bella Rustica Barn Sale!
She's ecstatic!

As if that wasn't enough~ I had to run into Wal-Mart today. The thing about Wal-Mart is that one minute you're buying kidney beans and laundry detergent and then on the way to grab some hair gel you spot
THIS!

Too dang cute for words!

I threw it into the cart~

Not even looking at the price

and when I did...

it wasn't too bad~ $13.88.

Worth every penny I think!

Sooooo I had a pretty fun day {except the dentist which wasn't THAT bad if I had to be honest...I did have a piece of tartar come up and hit me in the eye but all's well! Good grief it felt HUGE but I actually got to see it after it landed on my dentist bib and it was a speck! Are you still reading this ? WHY? lol!)

I am excited to be linking this post up to the FABULOUS Kathleen's White Wednesday over at Faded Charm as well as Miss Mustard Seed Furniture Feature Friday. For more beautiful INSPIRATION and less tartar talk...hop on over.

You will be SOOOO glad you did!

Chippy pieces of the past!

To say I have a boatload of stuff to get done today in an understatement!
But I had to scroll thru some photos for some advertisements projects that I'm doing~ and it was like a trip down memory lane.
I put together some photos of pieces that were at the top of my favorites list...
They have all since found homes....

Gracing the living rooms.....

or porch's {covered or not}....
or kitchens....

or bedrooms....

or dining rooms....

or offices....
or bathrooms....

Of the BEST CUSTOMERS on EARTH!
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!
{this post is linked to White Wednesday!}

P.S. There's more where these came from! *wink*!

Patiently Waiting.....

Both of these items.....this huge white metal basket.....
all chippy and rusty and crusty and perfect.....

and this adorable old wagon.....

all chippy and rusty and crusty and perfect....

were found on two different junkin escapades around Christmas time.

Now they sit patiently waiting until I figure out what I want to do with them.
Any ideas?

Welcome Back White Wednesday!

I am so happy to be able to have the time to participate in Faded Charms White Wednesday this week! It has been awhile since I have and I sure do miss it when I can't! This gives me a chance to tell you about THE DOORS in my booth picture below!
Many of you commented on them in my previous post and I have to tell you how they all came about! When I got to the show it was the first time I had even been to the place. I didn't know what the building even looked like so I was kind of winging it so to speak when it came to exactly what I was going to do for display. As mentioned in my previous post, one of the show peeps ( Chet) came up to me and mentioned all the doors they had for sale. They had come off old apartments! Can you imagine? I had seen them all leaning up against the building when I pulled in but didn't think too much of it. I assumed they were going to be put to use somehow.
I was beyond Ecstatic when I learned about all the ones with numbers and continued to go berserk picking them out.
Did I mention they were......10.00 a piece!! Yep that's it!
I needed oxygen...and FAST!
Good grief did I have a blast sorting through them~ chippy paint flakes flying everywhere~landing in my hair, down my shirt, on my face....HEAVEN!!

The best news is.....THERE ARE STILL SOME LEFT! Yep contrary to what you may have heard~ I did leave a few! Believe me, at that price it was totally tempting to just rack um up and buy um all. So that is the story of how my booth really came together.
Totally last minute and completely by chance.
Wish I would have stressed about something else for the last 2 weeks!!
Enjoy your Wednesday!
P.S. To see more pics ~ keep scrolling down to my previous post! :0)

CHIPPYVILLE!

That is what my driveway looks like...CHIPPYVILLE!
I know these pics aren't fancy but this is exactly how we took it off the truck. This is just the first part! Lordy did I haul some stuff! Go ahead...take a peek.....the sun is dappling everything.....

but I think you get the idea! LOL!
There is still stuff inside stuff waiting to be unpacked....

So I will leave you with these today and will take more pics when I make more progress! I am back at the shop today getting ready to get the place all decked out for fall! The Butter Maple Candles are back in stock and I need to refill my bare cupboards!

GUEST BEDROOM MAKE~OVER RESULTS!!

So here it is ....finally!! Again this post is long with lots of pics! Click on pics to enlarge and read captions! You don't wanna miss a thing right?Blah~ boring bedroom with freebie furniture...

I had been trying to figure out how I could make the furniture work so I wouldn't have to run out and buy anything right now. Paint was the obvious choice...you'll see in a sec...
The mattress propped up against the wall is now INSIDE the closet! Can't believe it fit either!

Just a bunch of mix and match stuff with no personality. I had been wanting to get this done for ages and we had company coming from Ohio~Bob and Karen! Karen was (an still is!) one of my SUPER ALL TIME BEST CUSTOMERS when I had my shop in Ohio. She was so sweet to want to come down and see my place down here. I loved having them and their visit was just the motivation I needed to get it done. Honestly it took a day~ that's it. Tweeking on the other had continues!!
So are you ready for the afters?? Let's go............

The wall color I totally snagged from my dear friend Wendy. She has a room painted this color and she was kind enough to share. It is Simply Gray from Waverly available at Lowes....

Here's the dresser re-do.......

coat rack cribbed from my master bedroom.....

You should have seen me trying to get this duvet cover on....picture a WWF match up with me getting my butt kicked. I FINALLY got the thing on and love it but dang!

the headboard re-do and the stinky little expensive impulse purchase antique toile chair.

just REST.....ahhhhhhhhhh

here is alot of my favs...the table, the cupboard, the stool, the chippy box, the letters, birds and tiny little antique mirror ( a 1.00 yard sale find)

mix match frames add dimension...

these letters can also be hung, which may happen when I get the tweeking done

the mirror is just too darn cute

bargain corner!

the table I had in the back corner of the garage for the LAST FIVE YEARS! Ugh! So HAPPY to have it inside again!

the picture above the bed used to hang in my dining room in Ohio....

this wall will be getting more mirrors eventually when I find the right ones. Liz Claiborne garage sale hat .50.

Well there you have it! I can't tell you how happy I am to get this room done! It has a personality now and I can continue to tweek it as I want. I do have an old feedsack pillow I am working on for the bed. This make-over cost about $65.00 for the paint for the walls, bed and dresser, the valances I picked up at a yard sale and the duvet cover. The other items I had around the house and had purchased over time. I am linking this to Kathleens White Wednesday over at Faded Charm. Please enjoy all the other wonderful white always on display over there.
Also, MANY THANKS to all of you who have left such nice comments and continue to inspire me with all your heartfelt goodness!
Have a blessed day!
