You didn't think I came home with an EMPTY trailer did you?She got the OTM initiation!!
The best part is....look at ALL THE ROOM THAT'S LEFT!!!
I only had one day to shop , so you can imagine if I would have had more time this baby would have been filled to the brim.



I bought two awesome old chippy doors and if I wouldn't have had the trailer, there would have been no way to get um. They stuck way to far out of the back of the truck (there is always to roof I suppose! :0).....been there done that right?)

Now for the off load (yep Deadliest Catch fan)!

There is so much chippy, peely goodness in here.

I can't wait to show you everything

LOOK OUT LUCKETTS....HERE I COME!!!

Okay...I told you I had a few surprises this week!

This is surprise #1!!

I AM GOING TO LUCKETTS SPRING MARKET!!!

Why is it is a surprise???

Well*l*l*l let me just tell ya how it came about......There was once this girl who just seemed to assume that this show was in a far off land. Some place so far away that she could never possibly ever ever get there.

Then one day this stunning beauty {hee hee} dared to google the show to see where oh where it was. What a discovery she made! This show wasn't in Timbucktoo! This show wasn't in Sibera! Heck ....this show wasn't even in Texas!!

THIS SHOW is in Virginia!!! You can imagine her surprise and tears of joy {no worries, she had on waterproof mascara} at this wonderful news!

It took a minute or less to realize that this WAS within her reach...She COULD actually get there! With a quick phone call to her friend Shellee to see if she wanted to join in on the fun, the plans were made~ the suitcases were packed and the truck was emptied so it could get filled to the brim! So with thoughts of chippy junk dancing in her head , she drifted off to dream land dreaming of all the wonderful bloggers she'll meet and treasures to be found.

Maryland Junk Pics & Herb Class Photos!

Happy Sunday!

I finally got around to taking some pictures of some of the junk Maryland gave up!

I had a blast shopping up there! We went to Gettysburg one day (LOVED IT) and even found junk there! Before I get into more of the junk pics, I wanted to share some photos of our Herb Container class we held at the shop yesterday. The weather was PERFECT!

I set up the class on our big front porch.....
Everyone had their choice of a container (old collanders, baskets, metal buckets....) and three herbs to plant.....



We got down and dirty planting, learning and sharing.....

Then we got hungry!! Lunch is served!!
I whipped up Easy Herb Biscuits.....

Fresh Herb Chicken Salad with grapes, dates and apricots....

I also demonstrated how to make a Basil Tomato Salad but forgot to snap a pic!
For dessert we had Lavender Tea cookies from the awesome Country Charm bakery!

It was a FUN morning and the class lasted about 1 1/2 hours. Each person went home with their planter and a folder filled with info, recipes and I even made each gal an Herb tag to hang on their container. We will be having a class next month for sun or shade containers using the Thriller, Spiller , Filler method!

I found two shiney trophy cups as well and did a happy dance all the way to cash register right before the hernia thing!

Can't pass on these old scales. Usually whenever I find one they are outrageous....like 75.00 or something. WHY? No idea. This one was like in the single digits......perfect!

What a weekend!!

Went to Baltimore to visit family and left feeling so blessed!

Found some AWESOME JUNK while up that way too!

I snagged a table that could possibly turn into this potting bench!!

In the mean time I need to catch up on sleep and laundry....Plus unload the car and snap some good ole junk pics for you!

PICKIN FOR JUNK in GEORGIA!!

GOOD GRIEF AM I RACKIN UP THE MILES LATELY HUH?

This past Sunday , Mr. OTM and I headed down to the grand ole state of Georgia for a work~ slash~ fun road trip. First the work~ I had an appointment to do a design consultation in Atlanta(that was really a fun part too!!) and since I was down there I was able to pick up some product for the shop (which was also a fun part but lots of work for Mr.OTM) . After that~the FUN!

You know I had to map out some junkin time so we hit a few shops and had a blast! Our first stop on the way home was Braselton! What an adorable little town! And talk about findin stuff!! WOO HOO!! (I will be taking some pictures tomorrow to share)!

In Braselton you'll find:

Braselton Antique Mall ...lots of booths with an upstairs to boot!

Flea An'tiques....again more awesome booths and lots to see

Next stop was the HUGE GIGANTIC PENDERGRASS FLEA MARKET!

By the time we did this, it was time to get our butts back in the car and head for home. We still had a few hours of drive time left and were getting pooped.

We packed alot into one day and while it was fun , I couldn't do an Atlanta day trip all the time. It wore me slap out! But I did find some goodies and I got to scope out some new territory so it was sooo worth it! I'll share the pictures soon!

Country Roads...Take Me Home

Whew!.......1364 miles later~ I am home! What a time I had! I am completely pooped and worn out which is exactly how I should feel after a week back in my old stomping grounds.

I had THE BEST TIME. I got to see family. I got to see dear friends. I got to go through some of the BEST JUNK scattered across Ohio~ ALOT of which ended up in the back of the truck!Every single vacant space in this truck was loaded up.....
I hit every Antique Mall, yard sale, garage sale, auction and even want ads in the classifieds (thanks to Linda who owns the B&B I stay at...she was reading them and saw a few items listed that she thought I might want!! She was right!)

My dear friend Karen came over to help me do the final load up. She has been though alot of loading, packing, lifting, unloading, hauling and more with me so by this point I trust her opinion! She helps put things into perspective and when I heard her say " I think you can fit it ALL" I was so excited to not have to leave a bunch of it for my others to bring down to me. I want all my junk around me after I buy it! I didn't want to have to choose what to leave behind...the agony! LOL! SO we did fit it ALL! .

Here it is....my junk all around me......literally!

Just a spot for me is all I need and I am a happy camper. I admit though, that I am ALWAYS so happy to get out of the truck when I get home and UNLOAD it all. So as I unload and organize a I promise to take pics to let you see all goodness that is heaping in the back of my truck!

ROAD TRIP and MY SUPER YARD SALE FIND!

It's been awhile since I have been back to my home state OHIO for some serious junk huntin and time with family and friends! The past few visits have been super short with not enough time.....(there really is never enough time to get it all in.) SOOOO, I will be turnin the Buckeye state inside out to get a primo truckload of junk!! I'll be gone all week so don't think I forgot ya! The shop will be open while I am gone! Between my girl Kim and Mr. OTM the doors will be OPEN!!

Okay...so yesterday morning Mr. OTM gets up at 6 and wants to know if I wanted to hit the pav for some yard sales. Ugh...that moment of deciding to stay in bed for just a few more OR the thought of snagging something awesome can be torture! The junk thoughts usually win the war and thus we headed out bright and early!

Whoa Nelly did we find a dandy! Check out what I found as soon as we walked into this first sale.....

I spazzed OUT! Now, I realize that the two tall ones aren't old but I was NOT going to pass them up. The smaller one however is vintage. These will look awesome in the booth! It is so hard to find mannequins that don't cost an arm and a leg. (does anybody get that?? arm and leg...mannequins...??? hello? anybody? it's kinda funny right? ) Ahem...anyway it was amuzing watching Mr. OTM carry them out of the place.

Some super secret hot spots are mapped out and I cannot wait to see what lurks out there.

MARYLAND ROAD TRIP!!

April has been one super stressful month for sure...ugh

I am sooooo looking forward to heading out on a road trip!

Mr.OTM's oldest daughter, ERIN is gettin hitched and this weekend is her

Bachelorette Party...should be a bunch of fun.....

as long as these(see pic below) don't have anything to do with it.....blah!!Let's just say...tried Blue Crabs once and I am okay with never repeating it!

I plan on going to one of my fav stops in Westminster to see what I can see but other than that

it's a girls party weekend. Hopefully I can pull it off....I am probably going to be the oldest one there but I am pretty sure I still have some mojo left in me!

I'll fill ya in when I get back!!

GREAT FINDS IN RALEIGH AND SHOUT OUTS!

This past weekend Mr.OTM and I had a great opportunity to head on up to Raleigh NC!

The reason for the trip was a surprise birthday party for JJ ( Russ's niece)~ and we got her good too! She was completely surprised .We always have so much fun when we all get together! And the FOOD~ Boy do we have the food!! Okay...(get ready Marcia & Jan here comes your Shout outs) MARCIA (Russ's SIL's sister) made THE BEST Ramen Noodle Salad and French toast(sort off) and JAN ( Russ's SIL) made this KILLER Mac and Cheese and most of the French toast! LOL! I will do a recipe post in the future cuz you are gonna want to try these! Oh and one of the best parts was I received and handmade afgan Jan made me that I LOVE!

AND....I also got to go junkin!! YIPPEE! TAKE A PEEK !

I was in CHIPPY GLORY!!

This is the first old dolly that I ever bought and she is fantastic and in great shape with a wonderful face. Most of the stuff came from the flea market at the fairgrounds. I have wanted to go there for awhile and finally made it. Had a blast!

Not sure what the architectural piece is from. Any ideas? It had the perfect chippiness! LOVe it!

This little old doll quilt was a whopping 5 bucks and one of my fav finds! BUT~ One of THE BEST FINDS WAS THIS..............

SuzAnna's Antiques!! Holy ta moly you gotta go! I got to meet Jenny and what a super sweet gal! I was freakin out (in a good way) as soon as I rolled into the parking lot! There is JUNK EVERWHERE (again...in a good way) and I think I sprained my eyeballs from lookin around so fast. I couldn't decide which way to turn! The displays are great and you gotta love a place the uses the words "peely paint" on there business cards! I will be back~this time with the truck!
