| Hello friends!! I was super excited about this "wreath" I made today! I spotted this old farm piece in a antique shop this summer. Loved the patina and knew it could be something cool. Today I finally got inspired and made it into a wreath. Couldn't have been an easier project: Step 1: Buy super cool rusty piece even though it will sit in the garage for 6 months Step 2: Head out to garage while you are already late getting to your shop to gather items you need for customers that day. Spy rusty piece sitting there. Step 3: Finally get in the car to leave for shop when INSPIRATION STRIKES! Step 4: Get back out of the car and grab rusty piece! Step 5: LEAVE FOR THE SHOP!! Step 6: Get to the shop, unload rusty piece, push everything on the counter that WAS your priority for the day to the side so you can have room to create! Step 7: Grab ribbon and greenery and put on rusty piece even though you haven't finished turning on all your lights, flipping your open sign, or unlocking doors. Step 8: Take photos and begin the social networking blitz! Step 9: See if you have any "likes!!!" (you gotta look right??!!) wink wink! Step 10: Finish opening your shop It's that easy!! Proof positive that not all Christmas wreaths need to be green pine... they can be "green" in other ways!!! |

| Hello Friends! So much time has gone by since I posted last. Almost a MONTH. Shame. On. Me. I hope you still remember me. There have been a few glitches that have come and gone this past month. One being my computer. ZERO memory left. Yep my ole Dell finally decided she wanted to retire. I got it back what seems like 100 years ago so it was time to step it up in the technology dept. For those who really know me know that I don't do well with this stuff. I LOVE it all......I just don't ever know how to use anything. I am happy to report that I AM typing this post on my new Toshiba laptop XPG500000STP (or something close to that). Just this fact alone is a major deal for me! We've got wifi and everything!!! Again....MAJOR! The only thing that I have to figure out how to do is upload photos now. Once I get that figured out I'll be able to get back on track with regular posts! |

| Guess what? It's Monday already. That's totally news to me because I have been so screwed up on my days since Market started. I feel like I have been lost in this world of make believe between all the FABULOUS products, crazy talented people,knock out displays and wonderful customers. I know that Thursday is coming (the last day of Market) and I will have to snap out it~ but that's okay too cuz I miss being at the shop but til then, I will enjoy this euphoria I step into every morning I snapped just a few ....(.meaning two) pics yesterday of two of my fav dispalys at the shop. The first is my new sign. So simple but I love how it looks hanging in the booth. |

| Hello Friends! Well TODAY is THE DAY! Today I will proudly launch Olde Tyme Marketplace to the trade. I . am. so. nervous. Let me just say that this event has been overwhelming. I have had YEARS of showroom experience, I know what it takes. I wasn't surprised at the sheer amount of work it took. I wasn't scared of the work or the time it took~ after all it's the passion for what I do that fuels the fire. This is just another step in my journey to get where I am going. In my life, I feel like I have been sitting on a branch and when an opportunity presents itself, I scoot down a little farther on the branch. I fully expect it to snap any minute and I fall........ but I don't. And I know the only thing keeping me up there is faith. I pray that I don't fall. I am very proud of how the showroom came together and along with the butterflies I've got, I AM EXCITED!!!! Today at 12:00 the doors open to a different world...... I AM READY! |

| It's not everyday that we decide to pack up the truck and head out on a junk run at 8:30 at night and drive and drive and drive just so we can be there Bright and Early in the mornin to get started! But Sunday night we threw caution to the wind and tossed together an overnight bag (still packed TWO pairs of undies...just in case. I am more of a planner so this was me being "reckless!" lol) and hit the open road! Wild and free and pooped to the max when we got there. Memories being made I always say. He didn't hear me. He was busy snoring while it was my turn to drive. So I reminded him as we were coming home last night and the headlights just decided to GO OUT on the truck.....on the interstate none- the -less...in the pouring rain. (I think I hear a country song in there somewhere!) You will LOVE what we did here......since the brights would work if they were held on...I got a bungee cord and hooked it around the bright switch and hooked the other end into where the seat belt strap comes out! Worked perfectly except it was raining so hard and the wipers needed to be adjusted and the bungee was in the way and ....UGH! Soooo, Mr. OTM had to just hold the switch the whole way home. We are 1/2 mile from pullin into the driveway and VOILA~ the lights just magically appear BACK ON! Yep...memories being made! LOL We did have a great time and got a slew of great stuff! |

| I honestly wonder how much money I could spend on pumpkins and gourds if I was able to just go and get all that I wanted! I get to the farmers market and just want them all. |

| As I was taking this~ it did start to rain cats and dogs as you can see proof on the pumpkins! I loved this old enamel ware platter and found a bowl to go with it too. Most of the items that you see here will go to the shop for our Harvest Tyme at the Marketplace Open House THIS WEEKEND!!! The things I do for Junk! |

| Hello Friends!! One of my favorite times of the year is when the mums arrive at the shop! The porch takes on an instant transformation from summer to fall! Today was the day. Well at least I got the mums today. They will arrive at the shop tomorrow and I'll have fun putting them about. Right now they are making the back of my truck look like an Autumn wonderland. Today was all about corn stalks. I got those up and a fall breeze even blew while I was at it! Such a great time of the year. |
